As previously shared, Dobro & Vita began as a personal exploration of creativity, craftsmanship, and mindful making. What started with small experiments gradually grew into a broader vision: creating art and handcrafted objects that encourage people to slow down, notice, and reconnect with the beauty already present in everyday life. For this reason, many of our mixed-media, resin-coated crafts include subtle text with gentle affirmation words.
We previously shared how our new resin coasters in the theme of water lilies with turtles were made and how our artistic concept developed from mindfulness and yoga practices. However, for the reasons shared earlier, for the most recent coasters produced in our studio, I decided to add a few words of positive affirmation in each coaster, such as:

This is to invite people to pause for a moment of presence and add a bit more positivity to daily life. As we shared on our website, Dobro and Vita mean goodness and life, and we want to bring subtle moments of joyful presence and mindfulness into our daily lives.
That is to say, each coaster, in addition to its functional application, wants to be a little soothing companion, and with its enchanting imagery and subtle inclusion of kind words, be a “bandage for the Soul”.
This is because almost every day, we are exposed to a lot of bad news, including environmental disasters, economic pressures, and wars. No one really signed up for this level of challenge.
That is why my craft wants to offer a bit of accessible refuge for the soul. A little touch of gentleness that we all deserve.
